What can be said? It's just a solid album, i mean lets be honest their first album was piss poor at best. However the band came roaring back from proverbial mediocrity to blow people away with this one. I'll be honest it's got the same vibe all the way thru, but its by no means formula tunage. This album storm right out of the gates with polishes like Degenerates Deep End and Holding On. Give Blood Runs Forever a listen, and tell me it doesn't float around in your cranium for a week.

So i was absolutely floored about how much i loved this album until i saw they were on MTV. But (thank the gods) all the shitty music loving teeny boppers were bashing them. So my love of them was reaffirmed :). Anyway, think really upbeat and damn catchy and you've got TPC. Normally i would say not my style, but really this record is too short to not enjoy. So if you came across them on MTV and decided against it, i would implore you to take another look.

Colour Revolt - (2008) Plunder, Beg, and Curse

4. See It
5. Moses of the South
6. Swamp
7. Ageless Everytime
8. Innocent and All
9. Shovel to Ground
10. What Will Come of Us?

These are guys are super chill, its a nice record for just laying around or (my favorite) putting on at a social gathering to just float around in the background. But don't mistake their liquid jams for lack of talent, these guys can bring it. Look for beauties like ultra-slick Moses of the South and haunting vocals in Innocent and All, the song See It is positively gorgeous.

Ok, so i rarely do this, nor will i probably do this again but here's both their first and second album in one file. The fact of the matter is, if you like these guys your gonna want both. As far as sound, imagine a series of B-Horror flick about werewolves, vampires, Hydras, Zombies the whole fucking nine. They're sort of loud, so if that's not your cup of tea, I'd say steer clear. Their just a butt load of talented from Seattle, extremely charming kids with a serious fan base.
If you like buy their merch, its way hawt.

sounds like : i guess the Misfits, but really they sounds like one outrageous punk horror flick

11. "Worth the Wait" – 2:43
12. "What's the Word" – 3:17

Three Piece that plays relatively uncomplicated stuff, its just damn catchy. Worth The Wait will rumble around in your head almost as long as The Strokes-Last Night did. Songs about booze, slutty girlfriends, getting plowed, and seriously crushin'. If you like the Arctic Monkeys your pretty much guaranteed to like this record. and if you don't, then your still going to like this record.

sounds like: Ra Ra Riot, Arctic Monkeys, The Rifles, Foals and to some extent The Strokes

9. "Double Vision Quest" – 4:33
10. "Lotus" – 8:48

Ok, so about a year and a half ago this nasty rumor starts circulating that my favorite band of all time MTB is breaking up. So the result of this is, they drop their old Keyboardist and make possibly their best record yet. Honestly its just gorgeous from start to finish from the super chill of Ice Monster to the sexy feel of White Mystery. Songs like Throwing Shapes and Knights are solid.
Just an A+.
