To the kids who like Indie and have been crawling up my ass lately with emails cause the shit on the site has been loud as of late... don't worry, i still love you guys too.
Somewhere in a weird cross between the sweet hum of the Blues, Delta Spirit's Folk, and the Shins version of Indie-meets-Pop, lies this album. You have your fan favorites like The Boys are to Refined and Not Your Concern, catchy and finger snappy to be sure. And then, there's an absolute gem in the melancholy and dissonant piano keys of Hurricane. Tuneful, Foot tapping, and all the fuckin jazz, just a nice light-hearted record for your Spring rotations.
sounds like: 1997, Straylight Run, Shins, Miss Emily Brown, Fight Like Apes
