Victor! Fix The Sun [2009] Person Place or Thing

sound: Indie Rock/Progressive
myspace
After a long complicated time of trying to fill the void that Bear Vs. Shark made in my life after they stopped making beautiful music together i happened upon this band. They quickly filled that raucous gaping hole with their self defining fast paced brand of mathy-indie-assault-like rock. Needless to say, Victor! Fix the Sun and i have been going steady ever since. This record is spot on, from the fucking start it doles out track after track of fucking great music.
"Sometimes the most powerful sound comes from being confronted without warning."
Get this shit right now.
Person Place or Thing on Amber Vinyl.

sounds like: Bear Vs. Shark, Kane Hodder

Kane Hodder - (2005) The Pleasure to Remain So Heartless

sound: Punk Rock/Screamo
length: 11 songs, 44.1 minutes

1. Last Of The Anti-Fascist Warriors
2. I Think Patrick Swayze Is Sexy
3. Jason Dean Was a Teen Liberator

10. Attack On Tir Asleen
11. Assault At First Light

I have this fond memory of standing in a sweaty mass of screaming teenagers thrusting my hand in the air and stamping my foot in time to the croon of Andy from Kane Hodder. Dripping with the universal adoration and conjoined sloppy love of a spokane crowd they opened graciously for a band far inferior to their own.
god i am so gay for this band. :)

sounds like: Silverstein maybe

myspace
1. This Eagle Has Landed
2. A Gondola Ride In Paris
3. Hey, Vanity!
4. Latina Heat

9. Nothing Says Party Like A Box Of Fine Wine
10. I Was Born In A Holiday Inn
11. Oh Girl, Just Music
12. They Say My Name Is...
13. Passando O Ano Novo Na Praia

This band is like a more melodical Kane Hodder, or a less depressing Scary Kids. In my opinion this record has all the appeal of a more popular Punk Rock right now, yet still has the progressive sound of say Lady Radiator. Pretty catchy, pretty entertaining and a possible listen for the screamo crowd.
