Think im more in love with this band on every listen,  and this record is no exception. Maybe im  a sucker for the razor sharp drumming, or the wild guitar arrangements,  or it could  the intelligent lyrics with just the right delivery. Yes. Yes. A Thousand Times Yes.   is probably hands down my favorite track  "It takes a lot of courage to be a coward, it takes a lot of pills to make you feel alright..." Not quite as upbeat as the jams you'll find on Flashlights  but certainly one of their best. Wouldn't mind seeing this one on vinyl, also if you like these guys check them out at their touring blog here.

Im going to start this post by saying i'm not a huge fan of the new album, and truly half of A Fever To Tell has to catch me on a good day unless im listening to Maps because... well its Maps . That being said i fucking love this EP. It's just five straight songs that are damn catchy, each boasting their own version of scratchy guitars and punchy vocals. This EP commands your attention from foot tapping Rockers to Swallow to the steady drumbeat of Kiss Kiss. People like to get lazy and lump them together with Pretty Girls Make Graves because they're both women fronted. This is the only complete record by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs that can hang with PGMG, and that's high praise on this blog. It's good stuff, check it out.

So this is why people create labels like "DancePunk", if the French Open doesn't have you bouncing around your living room then what will? This record is catchy as all hell, with some damn clever guitar lines. It is reminiscent of what used to be mathrock/ mathcore etc... For Vampire Weekend enthusiasts or possible We Are Scientists fans.

This album is just damn catchy, nice kids from the New York. Sort of rode in on the shirt tails of fellow New Yorkers Vampire Weekend, who they toured with in their beginning stages.Their sound is best described if you imagine Vampire Weekend got We Are Scientists really drunk one saturday night at a party, and nine months later Ra Ra Riot was born. Very low key, fav. songs include Ghosts Under Rocks, and Winter 05. Their drummer John Pike was a great guy, if you wanna check his foundation out go here.

If you like the Arctic Monkeys your pretty much guaranteed to like this record. and if you don't, then your still going to like this record.
